Sad but True

Ok so I am supposed to be adding funny stories from little kid. Here is one that isn't so funny but it is very true.
My job at the grade school two hours a day consists of working for the special ed. teacher one day I am in the sped room, while all the kids are at recess, having a discussion with the teacher when one of the aides brings in the little kid that is a real handful. You know the one that always disrupts everything. He had hit someone on recess, he needed to go home. Going home always makes him mad. He comes in the room, throws his glasses across the room and is heading out of there. As I grab the glasses I tell him to stop, this ticks him off more and so he picks up an individual dry erase board and throws it. Bang right into my forehead, immediately blood gushes out, of course I have a white sweater on. The aide comes out of the office, where she had been calling home, sees blood and freaks out. The teachers sees blood and hustles to the office to get something to soak up the blood. More on that later. The kid doesn't care, he is evil.

Meanwhile I get over the sink and proceed to bleed into the sink until the whole thing is red. At one point I am not sure if it really will stop. Here comes the teacher back with a pad to absorb the blood. At least I can quit bleeding into the sink freaking the aide out. Here's the more on the teacher I promised, I get the pad on my head, the aide has the kid somewhat calmed down and another aide has shown up. So off to the office I go to take care of myself. The teacher follows me. She said she was in such a hurry to get me help she tripped over the scale that is in the office sick room and fell and crashed into a box and the sink. I go around the corner and there it is a cardboard box smashed flat on the floor. Can't help but find this funny I can just see her fallng and trying to catch herself on a box.

But five stitches, and a black eye later the kid is out of our school and we can teach students in peace. Superindendant quote the next day is "thanks for taking one for the team." HaHa.
